We have come up with a list of some of the most interesting items you should consider having on board during your next super yacht charter.
Jet ski
A good waverunner, a two or a three-seater are most of the time on board of any super yacht. Some will have at least two, while others will have a jet ski too. Whatever the mega yacht you will be on, waverunner is an absolutely essential part of the water sports equipment. You should be aware though, that in most cases, especially in the West Mediterranean, the use of these toys is restricted to licensed charterers. Should your charter party wish to use waverunners without the crew, we can arrange for a professional JET SKI instructor to come on board on a specified day so you can get your license in the course of a few hours in the afternoon.
Seabob
Seabob or sea scooter as some have learned to call it has been firmly established as the next best thing. Sweeping along through the water with a Seabob is simply said to a great fun. Nothing can be more tantalizing than diving into an impressive underwater world or simply cruising along the surface with your own body fully submerged. Using a Seabob is indeed a proper wellness experience. The water pressure is usually so great that it will virtually force all of your body through the water and then massage you in the process, leaving your whole body tingling for a long time afterward. Thus, Seabob is a real water toy, powerful and easy to handle and forces you through the water at speeds of around 10km/h / 6m/h. It crucially offers a genuinely new experience to most water sports enthusiasts.
Towing and inflatable tubes
A variety of towing toys are readily available on any super yacht. These include bananas for 2 to 10 persons, inflatable tubes for 2 to 4 persons, jump seats, wakeboards, kneeboards, water skis, and monoskis. Bananas provide recreational fun as riders sit astride a large tube, holding onto grip handles while being pulled by a tender. Doughnuts offer a safer alternative, allowing riders to casually sit on them. Water skis are popular for both children and adults, while wakeboards and kneeboards are preferred by experienced users for thrilling moves.
Jet surf
Jet surf is a surfboard built specifically for motor surfing. As bizarre as it sounds, it is true. It comes with a throttle attached to it, which adjusts the speed depending upon the pressure applied to it. For instance, if you want to speed up your jet surf, you can squeeze the throttle, and voila, it is done. Similarly, if you want to reduce the speed of your jet surf, you relax your grip on the throttle and it slows down. Moreover, standard jet surf boards weigh somewhere around 30 lbs and have a starting price tag of around $9,900 attached to them. However, test rides are also available at a variety of places and start at as low as $200 per ride. These test rides help you to try out a jetsurf for the first time, so you can make a well-informed and well-researched decision before investing into a personal one.
Fliteboard EFOIL
Fliteboard is an electric powered hydrofoil, also known as an eFoil. Standing on the board, riders use a handheld Flite Controller to manage their speed. With a mast that is partially underwater, Fliteboarding gives you the feeling of freedom, as you glide silently just above the water.
