KOH CHANG ONE WEEK CHARTER ITINERARY

Recommended Charter Months: Mid October through to Mid May. Peak Season December to Feburary.

Enjoy a truly spectacular one week charter to the best exotic locations that make up the 52 island hidden treasure that is the Koh Chang National Marine Park onboard the Gulf of Thailand’s only Rina Class Superyacht available for charter, Asia Poseidon!

During your magical one week charter you will experience several amazing islands including Koh Chang, Koh Ngam, Koh Wai, Koh Mak, Kho Kham, Koh Rang and of course the ethereal Koh Kood

From May until October the South Westerly Monsoon winds make The Koh Chang Archipelago the wettest location of all of Thailand hence the amazing luscious green rainforest landscapes. From November to April the archipelago is mostly dry and the prevailing light North Easterly winds offer an array of perfect lake-like anchorages along the island’s West coasts where all of the best beaches and bays are to be found. There is a high probability you will have whole bays entirely to yourself with perhaps a few small fishing or sailing boats sharing the anchorages. During these months splendid calm seas are almost guaranteed upon your private exclusive voyage.

Kindly be informed that the one-week charter price includes a complimentary 220 nautical mile round trip delivery and return from Ocean Marina Jomtien with only the fuel being charged to the APA! This therefore allows our guests to avoid the 9.5 hour crossing each way to and from Ocean Marina and Koh Chang, where the open sea frequently generates waves exceeding 1-2 meters, potentially leading to an uncomfortable long journey.

Each evening, Asia Poseidon’s Captain will engage with you to tailor the next day’s course, ensuring an optimal charter experience that fulfills your every desire. ONE

DAY 1

Koh Chang. We can arrange for you a range of transport options to commence your charter.

a) Choose your vehicle from a variety of Limousines with a transfer time of 3.5 hours from Pattaya and 4.5 hours from Bangkok.
b) Daily flights are under 1 hour from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to Trat airport. Limousine transfer to the private pier in just 20 minutes.
c) A private Chartered flight to Trat airport from Bangkok and a short transfer to the pier.
d) A private Chartered Helicopter charter.
e) A private Chartered SeaPlane direct to the yacht.

Cruise to a calm Koh Chang anchorage. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch, Relax onboard, enjoy the vast array of onboard toys, sundowners, dinner and commence your charter.

TWO

DAY 2

Koh Chang to Koh Ngam, to Koh Wai and then onto Koh Mak. Cruise to Koh Ngam, after lunch cruise to Koh Wai and then onto Koh Mak for sundowners drinks and a delightful dinner. For Advanced Scuba Diving enthusiasts we can adjust the itinerary as just a few miles South East of Koh Chang there is the best wreck dive in all of Thailand, the HTMS Chang war ship at a depth of 30 meters, with the top deck being at around 23 meters depth. Nearby the wreck there are several incredible shallower coral dive sites suitable for less qualified divers which also offer fantastic snorkeling. There are plenty of on island options also available for example a pre sunset bathing with 3 baby Elephants on a private beach is often a popular option. With this third option we will stay a second night at anchor at Koh Chang.

DAY 3

Koh Mak. Indulge in a leisurely day on Koh Mak, where soft, golden-yellow sands meet the warm embrace of tropical seas. Exploring the island’s tranquil bays with the yacht’s tender is a must, while a visit to the stunning Koh Kham white sand bay, just a few hundred meters from Koh Mak’s North Coast, is highly recommended for its postcard-perfect beauty. Embarking on a journey around the island, whether by foot, bicycle, Songtaeow taxi, or scooter hire, offers a delightful way to immerse yourself in its charms.

FOUR

DAY 4

Koh Mak to Koh Rang and then onto Koh Kood. Cruise West to Koh Rang Marine park, an aquatic paradise brimming with vibrant marine life and numerous dive sites, promising perhaps the best snorkeling or Scuba diving of the entire charter. Prepare to be immersed in a bustling underwater world, surrounded by an array of small colorful tropical fish, majestic pelagic species, and enchanting reef dwellers. With luck on your side, you might even catch a glimpse of a graceful sea turtle or the awe-inspiring presence of a whale shark. (For snorkeling and extensive exploration, consider utilizing the onboard underwater Seacooters – a highly recommended accessory to see more and to cover lots of ground effortlessly.)

Late afternoon we cruise onto the heavenly island of Koh Kood; the jewel in the crown and the piece de resistance of the Koh Chang archipelago.

FIVE

DAY 5

Koh Kood. Relax at various breathtaking anchorages around Koh Kood, chosen based on prevailing sea and wind conditions. Koh Kood, also referred to as Koh Kut, boasts a vast mountainous terrain cloaked in dense jungle, with a local population of approximately 2,500 residents and less than 30 resorts scattered around the sizable island guarantees serenity even at the busiest time of year. Its western and southern shores are adorned with A1 pristine white-sand beaches, where the crystalline waters exude a mesmerizing clarity, evoking a surreal, Maldivian-like allure.

SIX

DAY 6

Koh Kood. A second full day at the tropical paradise island of Koh Kood. Explore via the yachts tender or SUP board up one of the many long rivers, then hike onwards to cascading waterfalls, or sample some aromatic local cuisine at one of the quaint Thai restaurants along the ravine’s embankment. If you wish we can also book lunch or dinner or an afternoon spa at the delightful 6 Star Soneva Kiri resort.

SEVEN

DAY 7

Koh Kood to Koh Chang. In the late afternoon, we’ll depart from the heavenly Koh Kood and set course back to Koh Chang for the evening anchorage.
